Pirate is an adorable border/jack who loves to race and talk smack! She is the one who changed the game of flyball for me forever. Pirate is a fierce competitor and LOVES to start. In the height of her career, she beat many a border collie in head-to-head races. It took a couple of years to get Pirate to run in the pack because she really didn’t want to give up her start job. In fact, her least favorite position to run in is second, because if there is a false start and she’s all lined up and ready to go and has to wait, she gets pissed!

As much as Pirate is a little spitfire in the lanes, at home, she is a sweet, snuggly, loving dog who pretty much rules the roost, dogs and humans included, and is affectionately known as Queen Bean.

Pirate was one of our super-solid X Cite dogs from the very beginning. After several years of hard-core points-whoring, Pirate earned her Top Flight Expert plaque in May 2012! She retired in grand style -- complete with giant rosette and cake! -- at the Wicked tournament at the Alexis Park Resort in September 2016.

Pirate is from Blue Cedar's second Cozy x Tex breeding. Her siblings play for Turn N Spit, Dogwood Pacesetters and Fur Fun.
