Dyson was our first dog and is the reason I started playing flyball. When we got him, he was described as the "most spirited" puppy in his litter. He was a fantastic first flyball dog: tons of enthusiasm, food motivated, lots of fun to train and run, and very cute! It took quite a while to find a tug toy that could hold Dyson's interest for a whole weekend of racing... until we found the frisbee. Dyson was a frisbee freak, and no toy made him happier (except, of course, for his Mr. Speaky). He didn't even care if he caught the frisbee or not, there was just something about that disc.

In his semi-retirement from flyball, Dyson enjoyed being the designated distraction dog for up-and-coming puppies and dogs in training. His happy and enthusiastic (and constant!) barking at flyball actually come in handy!

At home Dyson loved swimming, sleeping on the couch (or the bed), using a toy as his pillow and carrying things around in his mouth. Meeting new dogs and people and playing with young dogs were some of his favorite things to do. Even at 14 years old, he was still ripping around the yard and acting like a 6 month old puppy on occasion. Dyson was also a fan of rides in the car (anywhere!) and walks around the neighborhood.

He will always be our special special boy.
